So, the first term has finished... and we didn't had any holidays, and we have already started the 2nd term... but anyway....

So... that's it by now, and i also have to say that i'm a little sad because i can't go to Geneva for the autoshow, but anyway... i'll still work hard.

Industrial Design Project

Well guys,, the first term has just finished, and,,, well, also i've finished my first project, wich was... design a vacuum Cleaner, so,, here's some of the presentation, by the way i've also got the "lode" in italian, wich means some kind of "honor" or merit... so i'm very happy about this.

Independent Volvo Specialists in Coventry

Are there any independent Volvo specialist garages in Coventry?

I have been trying to find one for sometime but without any success. My old Volvo S40 is giving me a headache. The remote doesn't work and opening the car manually with the keys sets off the alarm and the hazard lights start blinking. Unlike other cars, there is no way to manually shut off the alarm from inside the car. I know my old Proton car had a button that you could press to shut off the alarm.

Searching on the net reveals that other S40 owners have had similar problems but unfortunately there were no solutions. I tried a few garages but they were not able to help me.

A friend suggested VRS who call themselves "UK’s leading MOT and auto repair experts". However, when I told them my problem, the guy on the line replied that they had diagnostics solutions for every brand apart from Volvo.

In the end it look like I have to go to TMS Volvo Coventry - the official distributor here in Coventry. Of course they would be the best people to help me but the problem is that like all "authorised" garages, they will charge me a lot. A call to their service centre confirmed it: "It will be £80 to run the diagnostics". You should note that this £80 is only for the diagnostics and don't cover the actual repair costs.

Now the car is parked there in front of my house, practically useless while I wait for my pay to come in.

I do regret buying the Volvo and should have gone with a Ford Mondeo instead. Cheaper and easier to repair.

Arrgh!

Cadillac series to be launched in India

There is a planing going on by the General Motors,India to introduce the cadillac range automobiles in Indian auto market.The company had first planned to launch Hummer in india. Cadillac CTS is introducing by the company to compete with the German luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW.

General Motors also planing to introduce the Chevrolet Cruze by the mid of 2009. The Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla can be successfully competed using the Cruze in the fast growing Indian car market. The company aims at introducing LPG and CNG in most of its current Indian models. It has already introduced the CNG version of the Chevrolet Optra.

Well long time no see.. but anyway i'm really working hard at the school so, i dont have too much free time..

New Car : Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M

FERRARI has named the open topped version of the F430 Scuderia the 16M in celebration of Ferrari's16th formula One constructors championship. Ferrari F430 16M Scuderia made its debut at bologna and is a limited edition.

The Scuderia Spider 16M was unveiled at the world final of the Ferrari one-make racing series at Mugello in november.The scuderia version of which 499 will be built is 80Kg lighter than the F430 Spider,has an exclusive interior including a customised ipod Touch(to control the Audio System) and a carbon fibre outer shell for th eroll-over hoops.The technical Specification is somewhat same as the Scuderia coupe.it gets the same 510PS,4.3-litre V8 from the hard-top that delivers a 0-100Kmph in 3.7 sec and is goodfor a top speed of 314kmph.Ferrai says that on its Fiorano test circuit this is the fastest open topped road ferrari ever built.

Ferrari F430 16M comes with seven electro hydraulic actuators which lift the rear deck while the fabric hood folds underneath it-all in 20 seconds.The car is expected to be launched by February 2009.The price is expected about Rs 1.6 crore.

A long time to wait for Super cars

It will take a long time for those who had booked the super cars to get into their hands. It is not because of anyother reason, it is noly due to the brand value and the method of production. Usually all the companies will launch a new model and then make prdouction of that model in a large scale. ie, Before the car had been booked they will manufacture it. But in the case of super cars, the case is different. The manufacturing process will only starts only after the booking. In the case of super cars it will take about two years to drive it. ie, It will come only after 2 years. So every one will have some questions regarding those super cars. ie, What is the speciality of these super cars, why they are waiting for such a long time etc.... It can be answered with the help of some of the specialities of those super cars. ie,

One of the famous super car is Ferrari 599 GTB Fiarona. It will take small amount of time to make it to the 100. ie, within 3.7 seconds it will take to 100. A speed increases the price will also increase. It will cost around 19,7500 pounds ( 1.61 Crores in Indian rupees). Those who are booking this car had to wait for 2 years.

Also another one in this category is Porshe 911 GT 2. Alos this one will also take around one and a half years for its delivery.

The Aston Martin DBS, Bugati Veron, conigsag CCX have to wait for 1 year for its delivery. Also Lambhorgini Gayado LP 560, Kapparo T1, Maclaren Mercedez SLR Roadster, Audi R8 will get into our hands with in 6 months. Eventhough the full cash is paid it is indeed the patience of the owners to wait for such a long time.

Stills & Specifications of Audi A3 Black edition

Audi is introducing a new model in its entire A3 line-up in the UK with the introduction of new Black Edition versions of the three-door, five-door Sportback and Cabriolet A3 models. Taking the top S line model as its basis, the new limited run A3 range feature dark titanium 18-inch S line design alloy wheels, a de-chromed front grille and window surroundings and, in the Cabriolet versions, black surrounds for the roll bars and the shoulder line. Furthermore, the A3 Black Edition models come equipped with standard fit Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps.

Inside, the limited run Black Editions are marked out by high gloss Piano black inlays and a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. In addition to the standard equipment of the S line package, the special edition A3's also feature a high output Bose speaker system and acoustic rear parking sensors.

The new Black Edition specification is available in conjunction with the 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engines with 160HP and 200HP respectively, and the two 2.0 TDI common rail diesel engines (140HP and 170HP). While it carries a premium of £905 over the equivalent S line model in each case, Audi supports that when the additional equipment it offers is taken into account, it represents a customer saving of £675 on the A3 Black Edition and £650 on the A3 Cabriolet Black Edition.
