Volvo XC90 with 3 different engines
Eight Cylinder Petrol Engine (V8) : Allied with an advanced all-wheel drive system and six-speed Geartronic, this highly compact V8 harmonises perfectly with the agile character of your Volvo. The sophisticated engine design, boasting continuously variable valve timing and variable intake system, promotes high performance, smooth running, and superior power from low revs. The full torque potential of 440 Nm is delivered at 3950 rpm, while at only 2000 rpm the engine delivers 370 Nm. There’s ample power for overtaking quickly and safely, as well as for long and comfortable journeys. Advanced emission control featuring four catalytic converters reduces harmful emissions beyond the standards required by current legislation, such as Euro 4 and California’s ULEV II, making this V8 one of the cleanest in its class.
Five Cylinder Turbo Diesel (D5) : Dynamically matched to the Volvo XC90, this efficient all-aluminium turbodiesel is a harmonious source of power. New diesel technology, such as common rail direct injection and variable turbine geometry assure quick and comfortable response, superior fuel economy and cleaner exhaust. Its high torque (max 400 Nm) provides remarkable flexibility in any situation. Low weight further enhances fuel economy and a balanced drive. The engine meets stringent environmental demands and features a maintenance-free particulate filter that effectively reduces soot particles in exhaust gases.

Technology of mono suspension
Actually the name itself gives us the idea about it. ie, mono suspension bikes means....there will be one suspension to support it.When monosuspension is mentioned everyone should remember that it should be on the rear side. Actually i think there is only monosuspension technology is on the rear side only.On Indian roads it is correct. But i don't know whether there is that type of technology on the front side.
Should this monosuspension actually gives comfort for the rider?
If i am answering for this question, i should say "YES".Ya actually compared to the other type of ordinary suspensions, this monosuspension is much better....We can only say that it is only much better...If u are a long distance rider, even in the monosuspension bikes also u may be uncomfortable.....But I am also accepting another fact also....Not only the monosuspension gives the rider a good comfort but also it depends on the other elements of the bike.
In Indian roads there are not so many bikes having the technology of mono suspension....Some bikes which is having that technology are HONDA UNICORN,YAMAHA FZ 16, YAMAHA R15.
From my knowledge about Indian bikes i think there are only these three bikes having the technology of monosuspension. In this category HONDA UNICORN had implemented this technology since 2005. As everyone knows the real power of Honda, it is not a surprising one....
Actually we have to ask the question that why Honda didn't implement this technology before that. Its not actually praising Honda.....Everyone should think that...No other bikes hadn't even tried that technology since 3 years.... We know everyone should go in the way of a person, if he is a succesful one...Like that We know Honda Unicorn has a very great impact on Indian roads and it was really a succesful one in the category of 150CC bikes.....Anyway it is not the time to check which bike is better in the Indian roads. We should have to know whether this monosuspension gives the rider a comfort?
From my riding experience its very easy to say that monosuspension is better than ordinary ones for the rider.Ya...It should be given bold because for the rider it gives much comfort. But the person in the rear side it is not much better. It should be easily evaluated from the picture given here.
From this picture everyone can clearly see that the suspension is given only to the rider. So i had said that the suspension only gives comfort for the rider.
Also in the foreign bikes and also for the mud racing bikes ther is much usage of monosuspension technology than ordinary ones.In the racing bikes also this technology is used. Some pics of these bikes are given below.....
Anyway let me conclude for the above question. For the better ride and comfort with 100% sure everyone can pick up a mono suspension bike.It will be better compared to other ordinary ones.So Enjoy the ride.........
