New Honda Civic launched in India


Honda Civic is a very well known car in the Indian market. It has been a real sensation from the time it gets launched and the sales graph of this sedan has proven the fact. New Volkswagen Vento to be launched in India


Volkswagen, one of the world's largest Car manufacturers have made their presence in the Indian market with the introduction of Volkswagen Polo and they are aiming much bigger things by setting to introduce more number of products within a few years into this market. As a result of this, Volkswagen are now all set to launch their sixth model, Volkswagen Vento.

Volkswagen Vento is a premium entry-level sedan which will be the German automaker's first locally manufactured sedan and this local manufacturing of Vento will help them to be competitive in after-sales service. According to them, the mid-size sedan category is a fast growing segment and, therefore, it is extremely important for Volkswagen to get the cost structure right.

Priced at over Rs 9 lakh, this sedan is powered by a 1.6-litre engine, and also would be available in both petrol and diesel variants. Vento would be manufactured at Volkswagen's Chakan plant, while the company's other sedans are assembled at its Aurangabad facility. This sedan model is now all set to compete mainly with the likes of Honda City.

New Maruti SX4 Automatic Launched


Maruti India has also introduced a 4-speed automatic transmission variant of the new Maruti SX4.
The new SX4 comes with a brand-new sporty honeycomb grille and 10-spoke 16 inch alloy wheels and dual tones interiors and plush upholstery.
The VVT or Variable Valve Timing allows the timing of the intake valve to be changed while the engine is in operation, thereby ensuring that there is never a shortage or wastage of power. This leads to improved engine efficiency, optimized fuel consumption and lesser carbon emissions. With the advanced VVT technology, the car starts, accelerates and climbs steep slopes better. In essence, the technology is an intelligent system leading to a smoother, more luxurious drive and better mileage.

With a more efficient engine, the new Maruti SX4 has ARAI certified mileage of 15.6 km per litre of petrol. The superior technology engine helps the SX4’s four-valve, 1.6 litre engine produce a maximum power of 104.68ps @5600 rpm. The engine also has a high torque of 145Nm @4100 rpm.

The interiors have been stylized in new two-tone beige colours to define calmness and luxury within the vehicle. The steering mounted controls are illuminated for easier usage at night, while there is a new provision of USB connectivity on the dashboard.
In addition auto climate control system, and windshield antenna, the new Maruti SX4 sedan also offers illuminated key insert and variable instrument illumination.
The new Maruti SX4 is available in 2 transmission - Manual and Automatic. While Manual Transmission has two variants VXi and ZXi, the Automatic Transmission is available in ZXi variant with optional leather upholstery. The ZXi variant also comes with safety features like ABS, EDB, Dual SRS airbags.

The Maruti SX4 sedan is the tallest, widest car in its class. It also has the largest fuel tank capacity at 50 litres. It comes with the widest tyres and a boot space of 505 liters. The ground clearance of the new SX4 sedan is 190mm, the highest in the A3 segment.

All new Toyota Camry launched in India


Toyota, the world's largest car maker, on Friday launched the 'New Camry' - a new variant of the luxury sedan Camry in India. According to the makers, Toyota Camry has already defined the concept of a premium car in India and the New Camry will offer an exclusive blend of modern styling and luxurious features.

The major features of this new Toyota Camry include plasmacluster A/C with minus ion generator, intelligent rain sensing wipers and moon roof. The launch was seen as Toyota's attempt to revitalise sales of this model in the face of tough competition from rival Skoda Auto. The sales of the existing Camry (the earlier version) declined by more than 75 per cent in the April-June quarter, selling only 44 units compared with 182 units a year ago.

The New Camry is priced in the range of Rs 21.26-23.40 lakh and would be available in four grades. Other speciality of this new Toyota Camry is that it is available in dark green mica metallic and beige mica metallic.

New Skoda Superb 2009 specifications, features and stills


The Skoda Superb 2009 will be offered with three petrol and three diesel engines matted to either manual or automatic DSG transmissions. The petrol engine portfolio includes the all-new four-cylinder 1.4 TSI (125 HP), the 1.8 TSI (160 HP) and the brand new 3.6 FSI V6 (260 HP). The diesel engine portfolio includes 1.9 TDI PD DPF (105 HP), 2.0 TDI PD DPF (140 HP) and the all-new 2.0 TDI CR DPF (175 HP) with common rail injection.

Stills, specifications and features of 2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe


The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé is a British handmade convertible manufactured by Rolls-Royce that debuted at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, on 7 January 2007. The platform is based on the 2003 Rolls-Royce Phantom and has styling heavily derived from the 100EX, a concept car unveiled to celebrate the company's centennial in 2004.

The new BMW N 73 series engine gives power to the 2.5 ton Phantom. The 6750cc v-12 engine has 48 valves which work efficently under the valvetronic system. Throttle and break pedals are incorporated with electronic drive-by-wire facility. The petrol engine which has direct fuel injection has a maximum power of 453bhp and a torque of 720nm. The experts opinion is that Phantom Coupé is the most comfortable car in the Rolls-Royce series.

Toyota's third generation 'Prius' launched


Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled their third generation Prius. Toyota, the world's largest automaker are in full confident that they can put up a much more intesified competition with Honda's rival offering, the Insight.

Toyota Prius, now in it's third generation since its 1997 introduction, is the best selling gas-electric hybrid in the world. But later, Honda's Insight, which is more cheaply priced has become the best selling gas-electric hybrid and so Toyota is looking for a revenge with this new model. More interestingly, Honda Insight has ranked as the top selling vehicle in Japan, for the first time a hybrid had clinched that spot.

This new model, Toyota Prius will cost around 2.05 million yen or about $21,600 in it's Japan market. Also Toyota is planning to continue the selling of current Prius in Japan, with a price of 1.89 million yen, the same price as the Insight. Toyota is promising 38 kilometers per liter, which converts to 90 miles per gallon, in Japan, for the latest Prius.

Toyota will have to face some challenges in selling the Prius not only because of the competition from the Insight but because of the global slowdown and a decline in oil prices. The new Prius will be sold in and around 80 nations.

Mahindra have launched a new sedan model in India, in association with French automobile company, Renault. This new product Mahindra Renault Logan was expected to do a descent business in the Indian markets and the product have done justice to it's maker's wish.

This new car has been old with it's body design, but the defects in the look of the car was overpowered by the performance of this car. The petrol engines can deliver an average of 10-13 km/litre while diesel engines can produce 16 to 19 km/litre. Mahindra Renault Logan has some specified features in it, and they are,

Maruti suzuki Swift Dzire stills, reviews, specifications, prices



After maruti suzuki's massive hit maker swift, they offers swift with dick also. There is not much change in swift dezire except that dicky part. When we are looking the car from the front side it will be as such like that of the swift. Also as the swift comes in different variats, tis swift dzire has also got so many variants.
Maruti DZire is the next value for money sedan in its segment from Maruti cradle after SX4 , SX4 was a good hit by sales number. Maruti has launched the Dzire in 6 variants - 3 of petrol and 3 diesel. Base model of petrol version is available for Rs. 4.49 lakhs(Ex-showroom Delhi) and base model of diesel version is priced at Rs. 4.90 Lakhs(Ex-showroom Delhi).


Engines
Maruti has launched Dzire with its new-generation 1300cc Multijet diesel engine and in a 1.3-litre petrol variant. It uses the same engines as the swift and there is very marginal increase in weight(30kg) which ensures that the performance is same like the swift. The Petrol engine develops maximum power of 87bhp@6000rpm with maximum torque of 113Nm@4500rpm and diesel engine develops maximum power of 75bhp@4000rpm with maximum torque of 190Nm@2000rpm. Both the engines feel very refined and have enough power with resonable mileage.
Looks & Styling
The sedan is a replica of the hatchback with a boot attached along. The chunky C-pillar is moved towards the back and rear quarter glass has grown in size. Maruti has extended the rear doors and hence the seats are pushed to the back to give more legroom for the rear passengers. But still the rear legroom is very disappointing and feels very cramped. Front seats are comfy and very supportive. Chrome has been biggest hit among indians and now a Maruti car gets that. The boot lid of the dezire is a chrome strip connecting the two vertical tail lamps. The boomerang tail lamp gets a new horizontal type turn indicators. Suspension has been retuned for the dezire to bear the additional weight. The body roll is well under control but the ride quality is a little bit bumpy, u have to slow it down over pothholes and patchy roads.
Interiors & Safety Features
To be more upmarket, interiors have been refreshed for the Maruti Dzire with the contemporary beige upholsteries and an integrated single DIN stereo. The Speedometer and tachometer looks good with crome surrounds and are white-lit which looks cool at night. Steering has been borrowed from SX4, top end variant comes with steering mounted stereo controls like SX4. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, collapsible steering column and an i-CATS anti-theft facility. Many of these features are first-time offerings in the segment.

Mileage
Without doubt Dzire's trump card is the mileage. Verna, Indigo come a distant second and only competition is from Mahindra Renault Logan. Maruti is higher in terms of power also and it is the most economical since it uses a 5-point injection. Also the weight of Dzire is not significant to affect the mileage in comparison to its hatchback verion.

Pricing & Resale value
Maruti Suzuki has launched Dzire with an introductory price ranging from Rs 4,49,000 to Rs 6,70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The petrol variant will cost Rs 4,49,000 to Rs 5,90,000 and the diesel Rs 5,39,000 to Rs 6,70,000. Maruti outsells all other cars and therefore you will have a better chance of reselling your car at a higher value than a Verna or a Logan. Dzire is offered in seven colours: Arctic White, Silky Silver, Clear Beige, Midnight Black, Bright Red, Azure Gray and Sovereign Blue.

Anyway Indianroadies gives three and a half star for this SWIFT DZIRE.
